This guitar, my Festival Standard, is a unique combination of esthetic elements from the Larson brothers melded with very recent structural advancements inspired by the work of Michael Kasha. The most obvious result of his research would be this instrument’s impedance matching bridge. Beyond the atypical bridge design, this guitar has a well rounded tone and is remarkably responsive to the choices of wood used in the body.
Maple and Indian Rosewood provide an instrument with a strong fundamental, fewer overtones and a more present base while the Mahogany bodied instrument has a warmer tone with lots of overtones and really shines when finger picked. In size, it is approximately the same size as my OM- FB.
